This is my speculative reconstruction of the mausoleum of helena. After literal years of sitting on my build list i finally decided to build it and at its real world orientation no less. The complex was built around 325 by constantines mother helena, it was a 28 meter rotunda attached to the basilica mausoleum of Sts. Marcellinus and Peter , the first of the late imperial round mausoleums attached to a church. It is thought at one point constantine himself intended to be buried here due to the monumental red porphyry sarcophagus having scenes of military victory no befitting of helena who origionaly was laid to rest in it before possibly getting moved to Constantinople or buried elsewhere.
Please enjoy it and hope it inspires some more near east roman builds, you can use
it for anything you want just give me credit for building it
