Operation Desert Storm, February 1991
Three American MBT-10 main battle tanks power through an Iraqi encampment built around a dilapidated ruin, shortly after destroying the two T-72s guarding it. The American forces had the element of surprise on their side, swiftly overtaking the encamped enemy force.

About The MBT-10
The MBT-10 is a product of an alternate timeline in which the XM-1 program never materialized. Rather, the government chose to continue funding for development of the MBT-70 and XM-803 programs. The resulting tank was a highly advanced, highly mobile, and highly dangerous main battle tank. Armed with a 120mm smoothbore gun, a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun, a 12.7mm .50Cal machine gun at the commander's station, and a 20mm autocannon located near the loader's station, the MBT-10 is a terror to both vehicles and ground troops. The tank employs a crew of four; a driver, a gunner, a loader, and a commander. Space inside the turret is relatively roomy for a tank, and ammunition is safely stored in armored compartments with blowout panels, the 120mm rounds being stored at the rear of the turret in a compartment with a blast door. The MBT-10 weighs about 55 short tons, and its multi-fuel turbine engine produces about 1450 shaft horsepower. The tank has an operational range of about 220 miles and a maximum speed of 40 mph on pavement, 25-30 mph on off-road surfaces.
