pull the upper portion (the neck like portion in the middle) down by 1 or 2 blocks, because as it is it looks to lanky. Beef up the top portion by adding 1 or 2 blocks in width or height, preferably width if I'm going of the single picture. You could also try using black wool to get the outline effect present in the first picture, but it might over power the other colors, so be careful. Also, because the stone of the original silo was solid and not cracked I recommend using some form of smooth stone, depending on what the texture pack allows.
