Hello and welcome to the Medieval world of Masewitz!

Title Masewitz was created from the names of two 12th century villages near Prague in Central Bohemia. Originally the plan was to create only the central castle itself, but it got out of hand real quickly. But I love it so far!

Landmarks:
  • Castle

Places I draw inspiration from:
  • City ofPrague
  • Castle of Křivoklát
  • Český Krumlov
Finished parts:
  • Castle
  • 1/4th of the main city
  • Lower docks
To do list:
  • Stone Quarry
  • Farmstead
  • Bridge over 2nd river

Any feedback is always welcome! :-)

Nice Project with a very good presentation. Maybe you should add some more pictures with a closer fokus on your highlight buildings like your castle.

PS: How small are your ships if this river at your docks should handle one or more ships :D

Thanks! :-) I´ll add more info on the way, (screenshots hopefully today). :-)

The river... Well, there´ll be couple of ships in the docks (up to 7 blocks wide and 4 blocks keel), but main focus point of the river/"port" will be wood shipments from upstream. In "medieval" times the logs were tied together to create makeshift rafts called "Vor" and sailed downstream to the nearest city to be processed. River ports and ships are a bit different from Sea fairing types. As in many of the "medieval" cities they couldnt fit under most of bridges, so there were mainly small ships and rowboats and the bigger ones had detacheble or collapsable mast. Heck even now most of the Steamboats that are still used as as a tourist attraction here still needs to collapse the captains booth and chimney before going under bridge. :D

P.S: thanks for the diamond! :-)

Yea I know that with the rafts; but I think you might think about terraforming the river and making it a bit bigger; your city would deserv it

Yep, definitely wil teraform the part right after the bridge (north). :-) Iam also thinking about building a dam. I know that Dams a modern creation apart from a few ponds here and there. But I absolutely love this one! Its called " Dam of Forest Kingdom"
