Welcome to the Minecraft Camping Challenge! The objective of this challenge is to complete the checklist for each part without permanently settling down. There are three parts to this challenge, each with their own goal list.
‧͙⁺˚*･༓☾・ Rules and Information・☽༓･*˚⁺‧͙
- Gamemode - Designed for Survival mode.
- Map - This can be played on any map or world. The one for download below is for Minecraft version 1.15.2 and comes with a spawn point and starter items.
- Versions - Works with every version 1.8 and up, though maybe adaptable for lower versions.
- Platform - Challenge can be completed on Minecraft Java, Bedrock, or Pocket Edition. This means you may play through this challenge on anything from an Xbox to iPhone to a computer!
- Players - Can be played in single or multiplayer, no limit on the number of players.
- Difficulty - This is designed for the first part to be on 'Easy' difficulty, second part 'Normal' and third part played on 'Hard'. This may be played on any difficulty from Easy to Hardcore. ! Warning: some challenged cannot be completed on peaceful difficulty !
- Optional - Mods are allowed and completely compatible, though not mandatory they may spice up your gameplay a bit.
To up the stakes, this challenge can also be played against others or in hardcore.
To make this a bit easier, you may want to start off with a lead and some food already in your inventory.
- Starter Items - This is completely optional, but if you would like to play with starter items, the one designed for this challenge are 4 cobblestone, 3 cooked fish, 16+ wool, 3 apples, leather boots, a lead, and a barrel or chest.

✧･ﾟ Part #1 | Getting Settled
Welcome to your first day as a camper! Getting settled can be the most tiring part of the trip. Make sure you complete the entire checklist to be well prepared for the following two days.
☐ Make a campsite including all of the following:
- A tent with a bed
- A campfire
- Seating around the campfire
☐ Collect enough food for your dinner, side & dessert:
- A meat as the main dish
- Bread, soup, or vegetable for the side
- A pie, cake, fruit or cookie for dessert.
☐ Find a small cave to explore and collect materials from for a toolset
including:
- A sword
- A pickaxe
- An axe
- A bucket
- Shears
✧･ﾟ Part #2 | Living Off The Land
You made it to day two! Nows the fun part, exploring nature and being resourceful! Make sure you complete the entire checklist for this section's activities.
☐ Get a friendly pet companion!
- Find a pall, anything from a fluffy pup to a bee on a lead, to stick by your side for the rest of your adventure.
☐ Step up your campsite. Now its time to cute-ify your camp:
- Create an aesthetic light source by crafting a lantern or decoring a
torch, etc... It's up to you!
- Craft a flower pot and plant some greenery in it.
- Customize your tent by adding color through dyed wool, colored beds or dyed glass windows.
☐ Travel in comfort.
- Adopt a llama or donkey
- Add a chest to your new animal for it to carry your items in.
✧･ﾟ Part #3 | Going The Extra Mile
The final stretch! Since you've made it this far looks like its time to celebrate by having the perfect final nights! The checklist below has all the preparations needed to end your adventure on the best note possible.
☐ No campfire is complete without campfire songs:
- Craft a jukebox
- Find a music disc
☐ Time to get moving...
- Fine an abandoned temple, ship reck or witch hut
- Convert the structure a decked-out campsite
☐ To celebrate your completion of the challenge, create a firework to light at
the end.
- Make a firework start by combining dye and gun powered
- Crack the firework star into a firework rocket by adding paper and
another gunpowder.
