Hello all brave adventureres! Are you ready for a challenge?
imagine an arena deep in the forests, where you can prove your courage and strength. I give you MobArena V1.0!
Features
- fully configurable spawn patterns: spawn up to 52 mobs per wave, choose wich mobs to spawn and how many
- 4 waves to survive
- no mods or plugins! all is based on redstone art =D
Dependencies
- This arena relies heavy on redstone. If you run a server on your own computer, things might get laggy. However, this will only occure when mobs are spawned, the fight itself is without any lagg.
- at least Minecraft 1.2. You can get the snapshot version here:assets.minecraft.net/12w04a/minecraft.jar

navigate to: %appdata%/.minecraft/bin and replace the minecraft.jar file with the downloaded one. the map has to be unpacked in %appdata%/.mincraft/saves.
- at least difficulty easy: peacefull won't spawn any mobs!
Future plans
- working out the waves better: boss waves, harder waves per round,...
- enabling/disabling spawnUnits per spawnUnit. This can already be achieved by disabling all mob from a spawnUnit, but can be made better with a single lever
- rewards and stuff
- all you guys suggest. Feedback is much apprieciated.
- auto start/stop core timer
Usage
- Most is explained on signs in the map. You'll spawn in the lobby, near the arena. Be sure your game/server is on at least difficulty easy! You can choose three roles: warrior, ranger or healer. Take one line of the chests at the lobby and get ready to fight =)
- The core timer won't work untill you start it (this will be fixed in a future update) you can easily press the button in the lobby to start the core timer. To reset (say you pushed the core button twice) you enable the reset lever and wait +-2 minutes, disable it again and start the core timer again.
- By default all spawnUnits are disabled: go into one of the two towers and configure the spawnUnit as you want it (you can you the two together if you want more mobs)
- pressing the start button in the lobby will start the game and spawn four waves of mobs (+-1 minute for each wave)

You can use the map or schematic on your server if you wish. Please do reffer to me, and if you enjoy the map, diamond are apprieciated and keep me working on this.
Known bugs
- The provided schematic won't have any mob eggs loaded in the spawnUnits, you'll have to add it yourself:
