The waterfalls are active durning the night. The island consist of a working tiki torches around the island.  2 main buildings one with the water has a bathroom/ small living room. Then followed by a tower into the bedroom with no way for mobs to enter unless they spawn on top.  Everything is open on the second floor. To keep structure safe use Comand gamerule mobGriefing false to control explosions  from creepers with out taking blocks with them. Then it should be no problem. It also has a working boat dock with redstone gate controlled by two switches.  1 regular small garden and 1 sugarcane feild. Water and lava wells.  The second building is the kitchen fully equiped but with out resources. So you can play the game fairly but with a good foundation.
