This is a new mini-game that I thought up that's in beta testing as of this moment. The testing occurs on my personal server and its whitelisted! SO you can't join! I'm sorry about that but I just don't want anyone messing everything up.
How I thought it up:
I was playing the Nintendoland and I was playing a mini-game that was based off of the hit game Luigi's Mansion and I thought why cant I make this in minecraft, but twist up the rules a bit and give it a new title? Now I know what you may be thinking, that this is copyright infringement, but I assure you, it isnt. I am merely basing this minigame off of that one, its sorta like, well fan fiction, so to say.
What I did after I thought it up:
I got to work. I started designing a small area to house the mini-game and I made it into a library, a mazeish like library. I built the layout on a flatland world to start it off and then I used MCEdit to transfer the layout to a world without a floor, so an open pit. There I finished up designing the maze, built bookshelves on top and created the spawnpoint. It was easy really, but the hard part was the redstone wiring.
The Redstone Challenge:
I had to go back and fourth between worlds on my server and in single player to get all the circuits correct. I used some of the redstone machines from Bridges PVP as templates and I copied them by hand to my minigame world. After a long process of testing and re-wiring I completed the wiring, well almost. I still have some wiring left to do, but that will come at a later time.
The Beta Testing:
I got some of my friends to help me with the beta testing of the minigame, because just myself wasn't enough. I watched from above as they tried to find the ghost and battled it out to when one of them was the victor. We did man, many battles before we moved onto another type of game play. The minigame isn't out of the testing phase yet, there is still a long way to go.
How you can help:
Since I am still running the beta testing I will need people to help me with it. Now I only want them to test out the mini-game and tell me what could make it better or worse. I will take about 9 people at a time so you must reserve a spot on my whitelist so that you can participate!!!
