Northfall EGC, the best and the most difficult
Ender Pearl Golf Course You'll ever play!
Hi and Welcome to my progress page of Northfall EGC!
I'm Siftos, and I've been making EP (Ender Pearl) golf courses for quite some time now, though I've never shared any of my projects before. This however, is changing today!
Northfall EGC is a championship course which you've never seen anything like before, especially when we're talking about difficulty. Many EPC:s are quite easy, they may have big holes to land in which are 2x2:s. Or they don't have any OB or overall hindrance in front of the holes.
This however is something which do exists on Northfall!
Hazards and Penalties
The "holes" are pressure plates at the moment, though I am working on implementing an actual hole including a slab and some command blocks. And all the podzol you see on the images is playing out of bounds, you will get teleported to a dropzone and get one penalty shot if you land on it, landing water plays the same and the same goes for landing trees,.
The bunkers play a bit different. You play your shot from the bunker, as you would with any other shot which isn't out of bounds, with the exception that you also get one shot penalty when you land in the bunker. So the name of the game is trying to navigate through the course without landing in either the bunkers, waters, or on podzol, hence it'll be costly in the end.
Bows and Arrows
On Northfall EGC you have the option to use "Ender Bows". It's as simple as you get teleported to your arrow.
This is the reason to why Northfall has a Dark tee and a Light tee. If you play from the Darks the bow and arrow plugin is enabled, and this is also how Northfall is intended to be played. However, If you only want to use ender pearls then you have the alternative of playing the Lights, hence they're shorter and makes it possible to reach the holes with only enderpearls. Though the course plays easier from the Lights, it's still a tough test for everyone who plays it.
Releases and Future Plans
The first version of Northfall will be released as fast as the front nine is done, though the course will only be able to be played in singleplayer in this version. I'm slowly going to make the map multiplayer friendly as I go along and make it a full eighteen hole course. A competition system will be put in place so you can play with your friends and have fun.
This map will be driven by lots of command blocks and hopefully it'll be playable in vanilla minecraft. But we'll see which crazy ideas I'll get later and how vanilla I'll be able to keep it.
