History:
Olympus-class cruiser was introduced to Colonial Navy in 2447 by engineers of Vistula Drive Yards as a mean to replace the aging Republic-class Heavy Cruiser. Cruiser entered mass production 2 years later and quickly became one of most popular warships in Colonial Navy. While old Republic-class made it's place to Federation's outer colonial secforces, the Olympus-class became the guardian of the Colonial Navy but also by many sector-funded fleets. Olympus proved itself vital in defending the vital tachionlanes of Federation. By 2452 Keid Run, after almost 120 years of constant piracy, was cleansed from it with surgical strikes on pirate bases performed by these modern cruisers in coordination with Hammer-class Corvettes.
