The Water Drive is a Federal Highway (N-3) located in New Limesville City, NL. Allows motor vehicles to travel from the Northern Tip of Limettan to the Southern Tip of Limettan very quickly (in a couple hours, incl. traffic jams). Built in 1944, completely rebuilt in 1975.



One Millennium Plaza is a 45-story skyscraper, built in 1985 for Titan Motors Company. Located at 2 Lower Dr in the Financial District of NLC's Limettan Island Borough. Built right above the Water Drive tunnel entrance as evidence of tunnel's strengh.



History



The Water Drive and Water Dr Tunnel (Millennium Park bypass)



First planned in 1925 as an easier way for motor vehicles to travel from Northern to Southern Tips of Limettan Island, but the construction started only in 1938 and finished in 1944. There was no tunnel even planned, because there was not that much traffic to build it.

But everything changed significantly in 1952: the industrial revolution hit the country. The UCS started manufacturing 250% more automobiles, which was a complete record. Almost everyone could afford a car, and NLC's old traffic system got completely stuck in traffic jams. And one of the options that city planners had was to build an underground bypass under Millennium Park and Bay Street. So the built the tunnel, but 5 years later, in 1957. It had 2+2 lanes, and it was enough for that time.

Year 1973: the last truck had just left the biggest construction site of the country: the World Financial Center Towers (WFC 1 and 2). Unfortunately, the truck driver had a heart attack exactly when he entered the tunnel and crashed into a pillar, and the tunnel collapsed. It was one of the most horrible accidents in the city, but the old tunnel finally got rebuilt, a lot stronger and with 3+3 lanes.



One Millenium Plaza (TMC HQ)



In 1975, the One Millennium Plaza didn't exist, and the land above the tunnel entrance was empty. In 1982 the land was bought by Titan Motors Company to build a new headquarters. In 1985, the 45-story skyscraper's construction was completed. The other towers of Millennium Plaza were built later: 2 Millenium Plaza (1987), 3 Millennium Plaza (1989).



Building time: ~13 hours.
