Geschichte der Habakuk

  • Vorgeschichte.:
  • Die Reederei durfte nur einen winzigen Teil der Ursprünglichen Flotte
    behalten. Da in den Anfängen der Weimarer Republik noch große
    Überwindungen bevor standen musste die Schifffahrts-Gesellschaft
    für größere Schiffe sparen, zudem noch ein von vor dem Krieg
    begonnenes Schiff zu ende gebaut werden musste das die Reederei
    durch Verhandlungen mit einem anderen Ausgleich behalten durften.
  • Die Eigner der Reederei beschlossen darauf hin Frachtpassagier Schiffe,
    sogenannte Kombi-Schiffe zu bauen. Die Energetic Klasse war eine
    davon. Energetic bedeutete so gut wie Tatkräftige Klasse.
  • 1922|Beginn der Grundbaus zunächst des Schiffes mit dem Namen Habakuk.
    Der Name stand von einem Propheten der sich für Gerechtigkeit
    einsetzte.
  • Die Habakuk geriet in den Hintergrund bzw. an zweiter Stelle als man an der Planung der Amabilis ansetzte.
  • 1923 | nach der Amabilis folgte auch dann die Fertigstellung der Habakuk.Ende Mai Anfang Juni 1923 nahm die Habakuk große Fahrt auf und stieß in See.
  • Das Schiff besaß nach Fertigstellung 3 weitere Rettungsboote als ihre Schwester, da man schon während der Ausstattung auf die Ausbesserungsarbeiten drauf einging.
  • Die Habakuk wurde mit größeren Lagerraum Flächen ausgestattet und die Passagier Bereiche der 2. und 3. Klasse im Unterdeck Achtern wurden verkleinert.
  • Wohlstands volle Fahrten erlebt die Habakuk und bringt mit der Amabilis für die Reederei wieder schwarze Zahlen in die Klasse, mit dem Transport ihrer Fracht der Beförderung der Passagiere

    Thank you for your kind and happy comment :). On the ship the signs are unfortunately not written in English because it is a German shipping company. But I still hope that you can orientate yourself with the appearance of the individual rooms.

    On the pmc page with the pictures you can still see which rooms are for what :)

    There are 2nd and 3rd class on the ship if you are still interested for orientation. Hope you enjoy watching it :D.
