A map designed specifically for pig racing. The pig pen within the map spawns speed potion pigs that run much faster than an average pig to help players rush through hazardous monsters.

Additional Notes

Things to know about the map:
  • The map was designed to be played with monsters to attack the players.
  • There are pressure plates and buttons that give players items for racing with. If you want more items to be available to players you can add more command blocks.

  • Pressure plates within the pig pen are what keep the map at night time.
  • Pressure plates at the finish line tell when a player (or monster) crosses it.

  • The room with the iron doors only contains the switch to bring up the stairs up to the finish line.
  • The fencing that is 1 block higher than the ground on the path is meant to filter out mobs from players on pigs. Mobs can be annoying if they push the plates.
  • Golem spawners near gates are intended to help keep the town area clean. I set them to player made, which prevented them from smashing my face in, so hopefully they don't kill people. If they do start killing players then destroy the spawners in creative mode.

  • The golems die from whither poison because the spawners kept spawning too many of them. The poison is for population control reasons.
  • Rain might cause frame-rates to drop while racing. Do the command "/weather clear" if needed.

Changes:
  • Increased "RequiredPlayerRange" on golem spawners to 50.*
  • Increased "RequiredPlayerRange" on witch spawners to 100.*

  • Increased "RequiredPlayerRange" on archer skeleton spawners to 100.*

  • Increased "RequiredPlayerRange" on whither skeleton spawners to 100.*
  • Replaced zombie spawners with whither skeleton spawners.
  • Added more archer skeleton spawners.
  • Made the caves near the broken bridge darker to allow random monsters to spawn inside of them.
  • Removed the carrot farm. Random mobs kept stomping out the carrots. There are still carrot-giving pressure plates inside of the building near the timed gate.
  • Removed a small bit of the small stone wall in the town.
  • I picked next to all of the red flowers. Mua-ha-ha!



*This means that the mob spawners will start pumping out much more monsters.
