Prelis FC Football Stadium
This is the Football Stadium for the Prelis association football club (Prelis FC). Prelis FC is a fictional football club, which is based in the fictional city Prelis.
The Prelis Football Stadium is the biggest stadium I have ever created (when looking at capacity). It is a perfect circle and it has two axis of symmetry on the outside and one on the inside.

This stadium will be exactly in lines with the UEFA stadium infrastructure regulations. So it the pitch exactly 105 m x 68 m. I am aiming for a 4 star stadium, which is the highest rating for a stadium and many famous European football stadiums have this rating. All requirements are not met yet, which it why the stadium is only at 80% completion now, although it looks complete from the outside. Requirements that haven't been met yet are things like numer of turnstiles per seat and VIP seats.
I am learing a lot about stadiums and I would like to share all I have learned and the progress I am making with the stadium. I will update and educate you with update logs. So feel free to subscribe!

Update June 27th 2020: Cameras : by Ninniyve 06/27/2020 9:41:26 amJun 27th, 2020

Hi there, it has been a while. I have been very busy the past year, especially with school. I am studying what they call 'built environment urban design', where I am studying to become an urban planner/developer. Also I was a little bored by Minecraft, but now I feel like playing again.

This time I wanted to do the camera positions. I realised cameras are one of the most important things to have, because they make money and most people follow the matches from home. So you don't want a bad camera setup.
Those cameras need platforms. So before I built anything else I wanted these camera platforms there first.

I found an amezing PDF file made for the 'European Qualifiers'. It's a 24 page document about cameras and yes, I read it all.

The first thing I did was putting the main cameras (1 and 2) in place. They should be three cameras in the back of the stadium, at the center line, with a 2.6m height clearence from the seats, facing away from the sun and the platform should be at least 6m wide and 2m deep (I told you cameras have very specific needs). I first struggled with the placing of this camera platform. At first I had the platform at the back of the last stand, placing them very high up, but that made a very big impact on the stand and the stadium as a whole, so I decided to place it on top of the lower stand acces instead. I don't know what they're called, but this entrance is a tunnel through the stand, making an empty area on top of it and having 3 meters of vertical clearance. It was the perfect place!

Camera 3 (pitchside halfway camera) is a close up camera, right near the pitch at the center line. It has to be on the same side of the pitch as cameras 1 and 2 (almost all cameras are on this side). This was easy, I plopped a camera right at the centerline on the ground. This camera shouldn't obstruct the views of those on the substitutes’ benches, but it does need to be able to turn and view the substitutes’ benches.

Cameras 4 and 5 are on the 16m left and right platforms. 16m isn't the height, but it's at the 16m line on the field (pentalty box). Their height should be the same as the main cameras or higher. I placed them a bit higher, because the stadium has two plateaus at the 16m line, which were empty.

Camera 6 (High behind-goal platform) is suspended on the roof support.

Cameras 7 and 8 (Low behind-goal cameras) should be on the side of the goal closest to the main cameras. Usually they are behind the advertising barrier on the side of the pitch, but Prelis Stadium doesnt have those, so they are vunrable to damage. I think this is still realistic, because the cameras themselfs always stick out above the barrier anyways, so they are always the most vunrable cameras

Camera 9 is a reverse-angle camera. It;s on the opposite side of the pitch at the center line. This camera is on the stand or near the pitch. I placed it on the same tunnel platform as the main cameras.

Camera 10 is an overview camera, showing the entire stadium from one of it's corners. I put this one on the same side as all the other cameras. I put it pretty high up and I placed two cameras, because you can't have a diagonal camera in Minecraft.

These 10 camera positions are the basics of a category 4 stadium. Most real life stadiums have up to 30 positions, but I decided to only have this basic setup, because cameras in Minecraft (an anvil with an item frame) are way bigger than in real life and they look a bit weird, especially if you don't know they are supposed to be cameras
