In today's update, we added a STEALTH system. That is correct. Now, by crouching in bushes, you'll slowly become more and more hidden to enemies' eyes. We also added rocks that the player can find in-world and pick up by right-clicking them. The rocks are used to trigger interactables like the beenest and explosive barrel. In the future, I'll add an attention system that combines with the Stealth and Rocks. Rocks and other events will be used to draw enemy attention away from the player, so that they can continue sneaking around. Things like explosive barrels and beenests may also be used to draw attention. Overall, should allow for a lot of fun strategy.


Next devlog, we're going to work on level design for Phase 1. It's been put off for a long time, but we're finally just about there. Most of the core mechanics are in the game and we can aim for a player test (the purpose of Phase 1). I'm pretty excited to see real player feedback but don't want to rush it. We've gotten this far by just playing by ear and working on it only when I want to. For at least the first phase, I want to enjoy that gap. That being said, I'm going to aim for a Phase 1 release before the end of the year. No promises, but it is something that I'd like to do. Thanks for the continued support, y'all.
