RAZUL - ADVENTURE MAP BY BLOCK_FORTRESS

So this is what I have been working on for the past 6 months. It is a fully functioning adventure map basing its core quest design like those within Skyrim. It contains 4 unique areas to explore and a bunch of main quests as well as some side quests. 

This has been a labour of love on my behalf trying to get this thing up and running for you guys. I would really appreciate it if you thought the map was good or just the design to give it a diamond or favourite. Also helping me out by liking the YouTube video would be awesome as well. 


INSTALLATION
-------------------------------
1)  Drag and drop the 'Razul - Adventure map by Block_Fortress' into
your saves folder.

If you don't know how to locate your saves folder follow these
tutorials for installation:

2)   Drag and drop the 2 texturepack .ZIP files into your texturepack folder.
This can be done by simply clicking 'texture pack' from the main menu of minecraft then
clicking 'Open texture pack folder' and simply draging and dropping the files
in.

3)   INSTALL OPTIFINE (This mod will increase your FPS as well as allowing you
to edit features needed for the custom fog to be more vivid)

4) OPTIFINE SETTINGS

MAIN MENU OF VIDEO SETTINGS:
-Brightness = Moody
-Fog = fast/fancy
-Fog Start = 0.2

QUALITY:
-Mipmap Level: Max
-Mipmap Type: Linear
-Better Grass: Fancy/fast
-Connected Textures: on
-Antialiasing (If you are using ultra): 4-16 (optional)

DETAILS:
-Clouds = Off

If you are going to do a lets play of this map, no matter how small your channel is, you 
are free to use a small collection of shots and images for intros or thumbnails in the 
mediafire link provided below. All I ask is that if you do do a playthrough of this map 
that you link somewere on the video back to the original trailer and/or favourite the
trailer and/or put the link to the original video in the description of your playthrough 
(The viewers can go to this link to find out more about the map and find the download 
links).

MULTIPLAYER (Read this if you are wanting to play this map with your friends)

INSTALLATION

1) Install craft bukkit (for minecraft 1.4.5)

2) Remove all other worlds from the server files

3) Make sure world_nether and world_end have been deleted/remove

4) Drag and drop the 'Razul - Adventure map by BlockFortress' into the server world file and rename it 'world'.

Can you update the texturepack please ? Or at leaste can you realase a patch for dokucraft ? ( as you changed only emerald and some wool blocks ) With the changes of 1.5 it doesn't work anymore .

Please forgive a likely stupid question, but I'm following the directions above about loading craftbukkit - should I load 1.4.5 as indicated above or 1.4.7 which is the version of Minecraft I'm playing?

Map looks so awesome!!  Can't wait to play....

okay, i have it all down. Get the unarchiver (free on mac app store) Download the file and then open it with the unarchiver. You will then get a Razul folder. You ope up the folder and there is another folder labled Razul-Adventure map by Block_Fortress drag this to your saves. Also in the Razul folder you will find the texture pack. Hope this helps!

1) Throw your mac out a high story window onto concrete beneath.


2) get a proper computer.

hey, that was a cruddy comment to come from  a site Moderator. A mac is a perfectlly fine computer. People just decide to make things  unavailable for mac. Usually all you have to do for a .rar file on a mac is use the unarchiver application (free on mac appstore) to use a .rar file but this paticular file has been giving me some trouble. I hope this helps milodf, and Block_Fortress, you suck.

I'm stuck! I can't get into an area in the cave where some pistons are pushing up the stairs and I can't figure out how to get into there! It's on the side where the wizard tower is.

As I start the map in multiplayer, it always takes us to a random point, not the start. Do you have the coords of the original start point? otherwise We're gonna have to search for it, and that could take hours O.o

You must not have installed the map correctly or the map has become corrupt. Follow the instructions in the readme and use a fresh copy of the map when installing again.

Well, the map was great and everything, except 1 thing, and it breaks our experience with the whole map. When you put the map on a craftbukkit server, bukkit automatically creates a random nether world and an end world. Even when I delete the world_nether and the world_the_end, it creates new ones when I restart the server :(. My experience with me and my friend was pretty much ruined when we got to the portal research facility. I really liked the map, and it was a shame that craftbukkit like 3 world files........................... Eh, whatever, Have a diamond. ;)

EDIT: P.S. No hard feelings, I don't think it was your fault. It was pretty much craftbukkit >:(

You cannot load the map into your server directory until you have deleted world_end and world_nether. I think what has happened is that you loaded the map, entered the nether and forgot to delete it when you first installed, then deleted world_nether after you had discovered that. At that point it is too late as the nether will already be overrided.

After finding parkour glitches into guards towers and the observatory, and obtaining every chest possible, I found of Fort Mazulf or whatever had a redstone glitch
