My approach has always been to give users the best default experience possible. I address people with the standard texture pack and no modifications. There should be no barriers. I work with the default texture pack because buildings typically look good with other textures too. The other way around, it usually does't look good when I align my buildings with a specific texture package. The problem is that if someone wants to look at the building with the normal texture, some materials often look out of place. But Conquest Reforged is a whole other story. It's not just a Mod, it's a total conversion. Nearly another game. In my eyes, a better one. I think it would overwhelm me to have so many blocks to choose from. The advantage is of course that you don't have to build so huge to place details. Conquest Reforged is great. I've had my eye on it for over 5 years. I'm definitely going to try it now. Just to see how it is.
