This is the RMS Mauretania in 1:1 scale with full interiors (built completely by hand, again). It took about five days of build time and around 150,000 blocks. Compared to the Titanic this ship was easy. I don't know if its just that I have more experience or if I've been blessed by the Minecraft gods of ship building, maybe both. Anyways the ship is fully furnished from top to bottom and features yet another teleportation system as well as an amazingly functional elevator, courtesy of yet again: DailyCakeSlice.
Here is some background on the ship for those who don't know
The RMS Mauretania was a Cunard ocean liner that served from 1906 to 1935. During her long career she set several speed records, including one which would stand for 20 years, and also carried thousands of passengers and soldiers alike. She was loved by many who sailed on her, including then president of the US, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Sadly she was deemed to no longer be cost effective in 1935 and scrapped, I hope that this map can serve as some small part of a movement to remember the Maury for her role in history, and I also hope that you enjoy it.
Note: the teleportation system is activated by throwing a snowball. Also the elevator may lag on some lower end computers.
I'm not sure what ship I'll build next, I'm thinking along the lines of a German liner, but I'm open to suggestions, so if you have any ideas for me a comment would be appreciated.
