The Curia was essentialy a the ancient Roman equivalent of the Houses of Parliament. The Senate would gather in the Curia and discuss public, official, or religious issues.
I based this Curia on the Curia Julia, which can still be visited in Rome. The Curia Julia was built by Julius Caesar in 44 BC.
