Hi guys, this is Smileful from PM.
Today I'm releasing one of the mechanics we used in our adventure map, we're still working very hard on, check the link at the bottom of this post to check it out, and make sure to leave a comment.
What is this?
Alright, what this thing does is, as soon as you power all 10 pressure plates it opens a hole in the floor. These pressure plates can be EASILY linked to for example an iron door or any other mechanism, you want it to link to.
Example
So, once you drop for example 10 diamonds on top of these pressure plates, it gives a redstone pulse, which then reverses the redstone torch allowing the door to open or pistons to retract. I hope this explains it, else just look at the screenshots it's pretty much self explainetory.
How does this work?
The working of it, is pretty easy. Each row has to give a pulse to open the door, however without one pressure plate not powered the pulse can not go through. So each pressure plate has a piston, once the pressure plate is powered a piston expands, allowing the pulse to go through. Now when every row has a full pulse gone through, they all each power a final piston creating one final pulse, making the redstone torch go into a reverse state so in this case the pistons retract. Like I said the pistons can be easily replaced by for example a door.
So EVERY pressure plate HAS to be powered by a drop. The reason wooden pressure plates were used is because stone ones cannot be powered with drops. Each row has a different color of wool, so it's easy to see which pulse is which. Making it easy to understand.

Where can this be used for?
Most likely be used in:
- Adventure maps, where they have to drop for example 10 diamonds to get to the next part.
- Puzzles (?)
- Your crazy ideas?

Now this is pretty much easy to make, but hey! At least we're releasing it for those who would like to use it. Feel free to use it.
Theres a flat map DL with this in it, and a schematic. To load it place this into your schematic folder in your minecraft folder in %appdata% or in your server files. You may have to rotate it. Load it with Worldedit.
