This was yet another facade study. This one focused on trying to create a permeable double skin in Minecraft. The reason for a double skin in modern buildings is to add insulative qualities to a glass facade by having a relatively still air barrier between the two layers of the building, but also allows for a stacked ventilation effect, which essentially acts like a giant chimney. This, when used in modern buildings, is a way to reduce energy costs in buildings. An open skin like the one of this building (which has a gap at each floor plate), has a more permeable quality. It still creates a stacked ventilation, though allows air to pass through more freely. If you look at the last image, you can see the facade. It is 3m wide, and wraps around the tower. It is located in the South District of my city. The tower is fully furnished. The core is taken from the New Alexandria Skyscraper. There are 31 floors, and a green roof at the top.
Dimensions: 51x56x138 (which include surrounding park. The tower is 29x29x138)
