Hi everyone !

Here is my latest project, it's a 4k big map in a space themed mood. It was a bit inspired by the jupiter's moon: Europa

Find the album HERE

All my previous renders HERE

You will find some unusual stuff here : some alien tentacles forests, some craters, a frozen land with stained cliffs and mountains ..
but also a city suround by two open mines !

no need to tell everything was done with worldpainter and shaped without specials brushes, I only use a couple of noisy brushes and i shape the terrain by hand.

I think I will do one or two more space themed map like this one, Stay tune !

Moonti.

awesome first render by Darastlix
The tentacles forest was done using the Thorns bundle by Vardekrom
The spaceship used in one of the render ( it's not on the map ) is the work of Mr.Enigma

Hey! Beautiful-looking map! I would love to download it, but unfortunately I'm having trouble unzipping the file with my Mac (which usually does this automatically). Could you post a .rar file or just a decompressed file by any chance? Or maybe just re-upload the zip? Thanks!

This is incredible! Another excellent map from you! Out of curiosity, do you do commission work? I am planning on creating a server, I have some lore and an idea of what I want the world to look like (a few sketches I made), but I don't have the skill with WorldPainter to create it, unfortunately.

So awesome Europa is actually one of my most favorite moons mainly because it has so much mystery surrounding it ad it seems like every once in a while NASA finds sound new or somthing that wasn't there before. Expect a cinematic this weekend will PM it to you so sty on the look out, and again outstanding job! :)

Amazing as ever! And with default brushes especially. Does it take way longer to do it than with custom brushes or do you have a tecnique? I assume you used smooth snow because the craters don't even look like they're made of blocks. +1 Diamond.

I used smooth snow you're right. Also I use a couple of brushes that are not defaults ones, this will not be possible with only the defaults ones but I do a lot of things with just one or two noisy brushes. I use them with either  the flattening tool and the digging tool to shape into some "more global" shapes. I have a bunch of little tricks to end with dozens of differents mountains/hills/rocks/cliffs/etc.. while I start with just one brush.
in this map the things that I only realized with the default brushes are :
-all the craters
-the frozen noisy lake
-the city
-the ground
-the base of the mountains
-and  some roundish hills.

it takes a lot of time only for the very steep and details mountains, that I shape by hand. with the brush size at the size of a pen tip.

It looks great, quite a unique concept for a terrain!

Was Worldmachine used for this at all? The craters make me think of the new release, WM 3.0.
