With appropriate permissions and askings out of the way, I figure another WIP is in order.
Of the twelve Spyro maps I built eons ago and promptly lost when my computer went on the fritz, Summer Forest and Autumn Plains were my favorites.
Since I have to restart my newer Artisans map, I figured I might as well practice some of my layering, detailing, and curving using Summer Forest again. So, here’s me starting at the lake and underwater passage after you pay for swimming lessons from Moneybags.
This is all Vanilla; all my maps are. You never know who has what mod, after all, so all maps are ambiguous and able to morph with any mod the user may have and want to impliment.
I can tell you, however, that the designs on the sides of the building aren't easy in the slightest to make work from full-front, so they look horribly lopsided; if it were a straight curve, I might have been fine, but not only is the building circular, but it curves slightly inward at the top.
Texture pack used is Wolfhound's Summer, for obvious reasons.

Update #1 : by Archaepophagist 06/11/2018 1:08:58 amJun 11th, 2018
Given that the new Minecraft versions will not read this map, combined with updated building skills and techniques and resources, I am abandoning this map and giving it to people to use/finish/do what they may.
It can only be used with 15w35e at newest. If you do work on it, you can still post progress screenshots to your PMC account, but please give me credit to the original build, thanks.
All in all, have fun!

I'm glad you like it ^^ Summer Forest and Autumn Plains are still some of my favorite levels of all time; hopefully, I can do them justice.
If this turns into something bigger, I'd love to see you recreate Aquaria Towers.
Before my computer fell apart some two or so years ago, I had actually built twelve Spyro worlds from the original trilogy. Aquaria Towers wasn't in the original list, but I can add it to the list of the newer ones I'm working on, including the redos of the original twelve I made as commission examples and premades. Not all of them will be released as free maps, but a few will, and I can ad in Aquaria Towers as one of those I use to challenge myself. Did you want it before or after the main crisis is solved?
It's a shame that this isn't a more popular subject here on PMC, but most of the users are younger and have never even played this before (they may only be familiar with the newer Spyro games, which is sad considering how awful the series got after Insomniac retired it).
It is a shame, but hopefully, me bringing it all in will provide some competitors, or even introduce some younger folk to these great old games. Personally, I liked the series up to Hero's Tail, to the point I label that one as '5'. Everything after that was kinda 'eh' to me. But those first five had the aesthetic down pat. I can't see that dreamy pastel background or hear Stewart Copeland's music anymore without being assailed by nostalgia.
And while not along the same exact lines as the first games, Hero's Tail still captured Spyro really well and it was a great game. New and refreshing from the older games, with the hint of open-world exploration and the collection-based play. I really do like it a lot and I might make some minimaps based on that aesthetic too, for the sake of it.
Granted, you would have to pay me to get anything based on Legend of Spyro or [Heaven forbid] Skylanders.
