St. Mariä Empfängnis (Church of the Immaculate Concepcion) is the roman catholic main church of Holsterhausen, Essen, Germany.
It was built from 1895 to 1897 by the architect Josef Seché. It once featured a tall steeple, aswell as a steep roof in the crossing area which also featured a tower, making it one of the tallest buildings in Essen at that time, aswell as one of the tallest Churches of the City.
During the Anglo-American air raids over Essen and its neighboring areas it was heavily damaged, and poorly repaired so that the most distinctive features of the Church are lost nowadays.
