Agios Simeon (Church of Saint Simeon)- was a byzantine Church in Famagusta, Cyprus. It was build probably around the early middle ages as Famagusta was still in Byzantine hands and was located behind the newly built gothic church of Saint George of the Greeks (Which probably added to the fact that it kept (as much as you can tell by the ruins) unaltered by the crusaders-). Along with the mentioned Church of saint George of the Greeks it was destroyed during the ottoman siege of Famagusta in 1521.
The church lays today only as ruin, only the outer walls are remaining, and on top of the roof walls of possibly a dome still stand. A connective section which leads to the nearby church of saint george of the greeks seemed to be an open archway rather than a closed structure as can still be seen on the ruins.
