Stealth Crawling


Crawling is a ability never truly added in Minecraft: any previous concept worked only if with precise configurations, or it was based on the orientation, making impossible to move with total freedom.

But now, thanks to a direction detection system, I've created a command that adds to any minecraft world this ability, in a fresh and flexible way.

Most of what you can see in the video you can now play in the little map, a map that may open the road to more stealth maps. Reach the secret laboratory and get the command!

Inspiration

The map/video is inspired by the start of Metal Gear Solid 3, where crawling is really important. The map try to replicate partially the game, while adding its own characteristics. I hope this could lead to better development for the Stealth genre in Adventure Maps, something that isn't really present today.

How to install the contraption

1) get in creative
2) place a command block in the spawning chunks
3) copy and paste the command in it
4) activate the command block

When I saw 13 notifications I was pretty surprised, but I was more surprised that I received a diamond for "Dark Samus"! ANd now I understand why from this question of yours ;) Answer: maybe; the morfball is more than a thing that can go in low tunnels, it can move like a ball, with its physics, it can jump with bombs, it can attach to certain walls and a lot of other things. This invention of mine is too restricted, because: the player needs to be in the ground at all the time, it hasn't a real physics and is too slow. I could try to improve these things, but the final result wouldn't be really functional anyways. But I've seen some pretty "impossible" things done with redstone, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Abt4AmuYHN8
 So, I think it could be done in a pretty good way, but no modifications of my crawling system would be enough to recreate the morph ball. I would love to do it, the morfball is one of my favourite things in Metroid, but I'm not good enough :(
