NOTICE 2: I'm putting hold on this project until the next full update, but who knows when that will be. I'll keep orking on it afterwards.
I recently saw TheLastGhost's Sunset Island map (which is awesome btw, you need to go check it out), and I thought that this would be a great map to build a ton of colonies on, especially since there are tons of amazing looking islands. I plan on starting on a large island that has a lake and waterfall at the top. From there, I'll continue to build houses and towers all the way around the ancient building pre-made in the middle.
I'll be using the Summerfields texture pack once again. I'm not sure if I should make it a resort or a classic village or something, give me some suggestions for that.

The first hotel is done. It took awhile, but once I build a walkway to the hotel (from ground level) and finish the minecart tracks on the other side of the island, this island will be finished and I can finally get to the next one. I'll try to be more careful with clearing away the forest next time (as I almost accidently burned the whole entire forest down on two different occasions), but for the next island, I will build something like a light-tower with market stalls.
As for more hotels, I'll add two more hotels into the map: one the same size as the one I just built, and one which will be much larger (probably filling one whole island).
I still have a lot more work though before I'm done.
