Partnoids, today I bring you my latest design of the 3x3 door. It was a fair while back when I uploaded my first circuit and since then things have changed! This unit is only 7x3 in footprint compared to the 8x8 of my old door; It's also based on a flip-flop design that eliminates the need for an external toggle circuit meaning you can hook as many buttons up to it as you want! Hopefully all this makes the build easier to construct and less resource heavy for you in your own worlds!

ATTENTION!!!
for everyone making this after 1.3.1 u need to change the time of one of u repeaters to make it work again
the repeater is if u look at the front u see 3 repeater next to each other in an L shape pick the one in the back and change it to 4 ticks now ur door sould work again :P

I have seen these many times but what everybody never includes is a pressure plate switch system instead of a button one. I prefer to walk through a piston door asides to pressing a button, so if anyone can make ones of these using pressure that would be fantastic!

when i tested it for the closing, it didn't retract the entire way and the sticky piston just left the block in midair. what did i do wrong?

its becosue of 1.3.1 u need to change the timing of one of the repeaters i dont remember exaclty wich one but u can find it on youtube

easy way is to just make a ladder or spiral form and use stairs or slabs for the last part becouse with 1.3.1 it doesnt break the lines

You just wanna power the block with the button (after you've removed the button) so you can just go a step pattern up in a spiral sort of thing to keep it simple, or you're gonna have to do some vertical wiring, which when sending the signal down is a bit more complicated than going up :D

One slight problem when I tried the tutorial though. This happens. Any suggestions on what I did wrong? Thanks :D

Make sure you check the top repeater in the green circuit looks like it's slightly out; make sure its on TWO ticks!

This uses redstone positioning that I never knew existed. :P


It's hard for me to make really compact stuff because I get really paranoid about circuits accidentally touching each other and messing up my entire design.
