I think you've got the angle wrong. If the player is at ground level, as assumed by the easily seen pixels in the grass blocks, then the blocks that make up the statue are too small. Also judging by the pixels, the player is obviously looking north, west, south, or east, meaning that the statue should be facing forward to be a good picture, instead of diagonally.
