This was the basilica built by the emperor Maxentius but finished by emperor Constantine in 312 AD after Constantines victory over Maxentius at the battle of the Milivian Bridge. This basilica was unique from other basilicas of the time in that it didnt use columns to support the central nave, but groin vaults. It was also one of the largest buildings in the Roman Forum.
