10 Update Logs

Update #10 : by AlphaRebel 05/15/2013 2:14:18 pmMay 15th, 2013

It's been awhile since I last updated this project. I've done a bit of work over the past few months. I've extended the city walls a bit more around the castle and increased the size of a pond behind the castle as well. I'm currently in the process of building homes by the old market and cathedral. The homes will be nothing special and a similar design is going to crop up quite a bit among them since there is currently only three variations. I've added in a few other buildings around the city as well. The biggest change is the fixed biomes. Ivy River is now covered in snow and the desert island now correctly works as a desert biome.

I'm also going to link to my custom Johnsmith Legacy texture pack on the Ivy River page on the Minecraft forums. Just hit the download world save button to be taken to the page. Along with the texture pack I'll also be uploading a more recent world save which also includes the recent changes to Shipwreck Reef.

Mind if I do a cinematic of this for my channel? It'd be a great video and will advertise this map.

Also, do you have skype? Add me @ seeexybeast141

Uhm...I am particularly happy with teh fact that you posted a world save, but not the site I have to download it from. Rapid share very much impairs the download speed of all computers trying to get even a single megabyte from their archives. I mean, 611 MB? How about 583 MB instead, like the size of the package is.

Not only that but, really, My computer can download a lot faster than 29.3 KB per second, dude.

Why not post it on mediafire? It's literally a lot easier to use, and it's a lot quicker.

Let me explain why I am using Rapidshare. I couldn't use Mediafire, as there was a 200MB limit when I tried to upload the world save. The world save, as I have it, is over 2GB big, so to get it down to a smaller size was the best I could do. I do not know why it's 611MB on Rapidshare, but that is a problem I cannot fix. There's nothing I can do about download speeds either, so not really sure why you brought that up.

I went to Mediafire first, and I would have used it, had it let me.

I didn't know that mediafire had a 200 MB limit. That explains some things. But of all sights, I hate Rapishare the most. I got the world, yes, but I didn't like the fact that it took 5 hours to download. By that time, I could have skyrim in, and playing, three hours before it finished, without the disc.I will see if I can help fix the download speed problem through another site.

I'm no longer bothered with it, but I know others will be, so, I'll see if I can find another site for you, if you're willing to move the minecraft world save link.

I would like a prerelease. One as it is rigth now. It'd be perfect, and would help with my architectural finesse project.

I don't mind that it is incomplete, as it is perfect enough for me, and I will be tracking this till it is complete.

I think a download will have to be in my next update then, as there seems to be enough people who would like one.
