The Hospital Project by Leon90

The Hospital Project has been an ongoing solo project by myself (Leon90) on Minecraft, the inspiration to build a highly detailed hospital came from working in a large NHS hospital in the UK. I wanted to create a realistic large scale hospital in the game, as I continue to work for the hospital, my understanding of many of the functions grows and this eventually makes it's way into the project.

In order to make the hospital as detailed and realistic as possible as the build progresses, I will be developing custom models and mods which will be downloadable in the form of separate mod packs, these are known as 'The Hospital Mod' and as I focus on a particular area to work on, I will develop additional packs to fit the theming. I will be using my own created mods alongside others to create the realism, detail and functionality required to make this as life-like as possible.

The hospital is planned to feature;

• Over 700 inpatient beds
  
• Accident and Emergency Department
• Radiology Department with X-Ray, CT and MRI services
• Outpatients Department
• Over 10 Specialist Theatres
• Elective/Day Surgery Unit
• Pathology and Mortuary Services
• Pharmacy with compositing
• Full medical records department with medical library
• Childrens specialist inpatient unit and outpatient department

Please note, there is currently no plan to release this project as a download due to the many required mods and custom packs not available however the intention is to showcase a lot of the available mods which can be downloaded and provide inspiration for anyone wishing to start their own hospital build in their Minecraft World.
