This map was created in Vanilla Minecraft, V. 1.19.2

The story:
Your ship has been sunk. You're cold, wet, hungry and injured. You cant remember where you are and your first mate is missing. All you know is you're thousands of blocks from home and you need to find food and shelter fast.

Follow the clues in the journals and signs in this strange new land to explore about a dozen bespoke new structures, traps, and navigate through the terrain in this challenging adventure.

The goal:
This is a 100% vanilla map using a full world seed (minus structure generation, the only structures here are those I added). You can go anywhere and do anything you like but if you follow the core adventure clues and navigation hints to each structure you'll get everything you need to complete this map. The end goal is to return home to your village.

Many hints are contained in books and signs. If they are destroyed. Tough luck! Write it down if you have to. I am not going to post the hints here.

I've included a few screenshots but I've left out a lot of the builds and surprises as I want you to get to experience the map with a fresh eye.

This map is expected to take about 6-8 hours to complete if you do not run into any problems. Much faster though if you are a speed runner. Much slower if you are new to Minecraft.

Unforgiving:
Background: I'm 40 and grew up with pretty tough games like metroid, zelda, mario tetris and so on... the types of games where you can LOSE THE GAME. I designed this game to make you think and to be a bit challenging. I also wanted to make it accessible to all so I kept it to the basic vanilla mechanics. If you die, loose all your stuff and your hints...Then you'll just have to start all over.

No mods or textures or data packs are needed. This is my first map. If you like it, let me know! If there are any bugs, let me know and I'll try to fix them. I am not a programmer by trade, I actually make jewelry as a career, and just play games with my kids in my free time. This was designed for my 10 year old son to explore and play and now I share it all with you.
