Hello, everyone! It's GalanorBrighteye here, bringing you my first downloadable map, and it's got quite a lot of work put into it. As the title suggests, it's a mob zoo, and contains custom-built exhibits for each and every creature that can be found in un-modded Minecraft - even the dreaded Enderdragon. Beware, though, that once you cross that threshold into the End, there's no turning back until you defeat the Beast... or, of course, you die trying.
I'm not entirely sure what all to say about it, but here's a brief list of some of the features of the map:
-NPC village near spawn, as a walk-through exhibit
-Stocked Ender Chests spaced throughout the zoo for those of you enjoying the map on Adventure or Survival Modes
-Protection from hostile mobs throughout the zoo, especially from those contained within
-Specially designed entrance to the End (You'll have to download to see it, Screenies do it no justice.)
-Two scenic overlook areas (One for the Nether, and one for the entrance to the End)
-Informative signs at every exhibit, giving information about the creatures within
-Well-marked paths throughout the zoo
-Inter-connected pathways that lead back to the main route, to avoid confusion
-Spawn-egg dispensers in case of despawned creatures / empty exhibits
You can find a screenie slideshow here: img706.imageshack.us/slideshow/webplayer.php?id=zooscreenie1.jpg
The map is best enjoyed with a texture pack like Sphax BD Craft (shown in the screenies.)
If you download the map and try it out, please let me know what you think of it!
