Hey people,

This was supposed to be done months ago. However, I
guess I just forgot about it for awhile (I was busy! I had my
reasons, I don't have to justify anything to you...MOTHER!)
But the project is not done yet, I'll be adding more to the
map when I can.

Anyways if you're still reading this then that's a miracle in itself.
Diamond if you like it (I love those) and throw me a comment
(Not too hard, they can hurt.)

all up, but apparently not.

BYE!

Additional Notes

Oh my god! Are you still reading this?
Okay fine, I used SphaxPureBDCraft texture
pack to make this map.
My editing program is MCEdit
CreditMyself (No seriously, are you actually reading this far?!)

Your builds are very bare. i suggest you add some decoration and details, like special lanterns instead of torches, and more detailed walls and bridges. look up a tutorial if you don't know how to do it.
The actual shape of this fortress is very nice, it could become one hell of apopular build if you add more detail.
Also, I reccomend to put your graphics on the highest possible that doesn't crash your computer, just for the pictures. it makes them look a lot nicer, believe me, I know.
Furthermore, your texturepack seems to be 32x or higher and very similar to default. I suggest you make it back into 16x default, as this one will limit your using better graphics, and doesn't really add much. You can be a great builder with just default, you need only look a Circleight.

There, jut some tips. I don't need to tell you to finish your builds before posting them, as you are obviously capable of that (unlike me). Good luck!

I think detail is purely a matter of taste. Barren is cool. Simple is cool. Brutalist is cool. Personally, I dislike projects that try to cram detail into every surface, like with stairs in the floor. Who needs those grooves to break their ankles in?

I said some, not to completely cover it in slabs. also, detail doesnt have to be random. A few more arrow slits/holes in the walls (perhaps with cannons sticking out?), perhaps some interior consisting of walkways or smithies might help out too.

I believe you share the misunderstanding about detail that the people you criticize, interpreting it as a mass of stairs or slabs. True detail (and yes, I havent really got this in my builds yet) is adding the small things you would find in actual life or in a high-quality video game. This build could look great with that, as well as with some block variiation (different blocks in the wall would give a more natural look)
Apart from that, those grooves shouldnt be seen as actual depth, more as representations of a 3D pattern you can walk over.

Very nice, I'd hate for this to go unnoticed. Although it would help if you took screenshots in the day too. Diamond for this and sub.
