Well, this project took about eight weeks of work. It was quite a large project for me, and put me off minecraft for a while, but i'm back now, and working on another project again!

Anyways, of course this place has a backstory.

The town of Andus, one of the Five capitals of the barren lands, is known for it's farming exports and it's textiles. Yet, ten years ago, this town was a small frontier town in the midst of a massive colonial movement. Then, the disaster struck. A young scholar, named Jesh, discovered an artifact, the "world ender", and accidentally activated it. What happened next was a mass exodus.

The artifact sucked moisture from the land. What had once been rolling hills and peaceful plains turned into a massive desert. Crops dried up, many cities became uninhabitable, and what had once been The united country of the Argosian states was now five small city states on the edges of the map.

Andus was in the middle of a small lake refuge that was missed by the artifact. In the last eight years, known as the eight A.E (after exodus), Andus has taken in many refugees and stabilized it's economy. It has become the largest of the barren land's cities, and a major factor in the survival of the human race.

There are several districts in the city. The first was the housing district, which is home to the cathedral, and the upper class houses of the richer residents.

The second district is the port district, which contains a few warehouses, inns, and businesses, including a smithy.

The third district is the farmers district, which sprang up to house refugees. Situated there is the farmers guildhouse, a massive warehouse and meeting place, as well as the cane, wheat, pumpkin, and melon farms that the refugees work on.

After the farming district was developed, there became a need to process some of the produce. Thus, the factory district was born. It contains the blue spray inn, some workers housing buildings, and the factory guild, as well as many factories.

After this, Andus found itself with much wealth and nothing to showcase it. Thus the Andus architectural university was founded, and the Castle was built.

Andusians pride themselves on their simple but beautiful architectural style. The main materials that they have found amongst their mountains and lakes are clay and stone, and thus their clad stone and brick residences were born. The streets are simple, with an occasional fountain, statue, or flower pot, and the rivers are populated by small barges that either take goods to the river mouth, where small trade craft can bring them to other cities, or haul passengers around the islands that make up the districts.
