USS Okuda - Type 4 Daedalus Class Cruiser

The Daedalus Class is a ship which has very contested versions of when, how and why it operated in the star trek universe. A big part of building these ships is the ability to imagine your own set of events, and your own reasons for design choices. This is the Type 4 Daedalus Class Cruiser, which was a retrofitted version of the Daedalus class to allow it to be a functional Combat Vessel during the Romulan War.

The Daedalus class was effectively a glass cannon. It was not fitted with shields, only high-energy hull polarization generators, which were reinforced with nodes throughout the ship. It was armed with Phase cannons and six Missile silos, each capable of carrying two large antimatter missiles each.

It operated between 2155 to 2162, when it underwent a final retrofit, which brought the vessel more within the confines of an exploration vessel. This involved a massive overhaul of the secondary hull structure and pylons.

The Type 4 was capable of reaching warp factor 6 for limited periods of time.
