THE STORY OF THE ESTATE: The story of the estate is told in three parts.
Bendak Ruins and Mangrove Swamp
Centuries ago, a tribe of Bendak natives inhabited the land that surrounds the land where the manor stands today. The Bendak natives were a hunter and gatherer society who worshiped an all-powerful god named Abo'a. Their daily lives were centered around their faith, burning half of all the food that they gathered as an offering for Abo'a. One day, after many decades of worship, the natives were gifted with a powerful artifact which, when applied to the top of an obelisk, produced a brilliant blue ray which they believed to be a stairway to the heavens.
The natives later discovered that the artifact gave special power to all who stood around it in return for an offering of either iron, gold, emeralds or diamonds. In return, the artifact would grant the tribesmen either extraordinary agility, or great strength. It was at this time that the tribesmen began to argue with one another over which power would be granted to them. It was not long before the tribe began to divide, and not long after that when the tribesmen wishing that the artifact granted them strength seceded from the rest of the tribe.
The seceding tribesmen retreated to the nearby Mangrove Swamp where they lived in solitude, and they began to identify themselves as a nation of witches who practiced black magic. The swamp was home to the obelisk where the artifact was to be placed, however, the other tribe, which still held the artifact, feared the witches and never dared to set foot in the swamp. It was because of this that neither group was able to harness the vast power of the artifact, and both tribes still continued to hold grudges against each other.
