This is a walled city I made in an attempt to build something resembling a castle. But like most things on Minecraft, it hardly resembles what it started off as, and now looks like something different from it intended appearance..

Features:
11 houses
1 admin/apt building
1 Manor
1 Water tower
1 Shop
4 Towers
1 boat house

The town is pretty basic and is hardly if not at all, furnished. ENJOY!

If you would like the individual building's schematic file let me know. I'll put them somewhere for you to grab.

although, you should should have made each place different. Instead of just cobble. But great work none the less.

You know I thought the same thing. It is a little hard on the eyes. All the cobblestone. But the truth be told I was trying to keep a theme going.
But I think on the next city I will do as you suggested.

NIce work of the city, but if I was you I would build a couple more layers of rock on the wall then add a path way, at the moment i'v been clearing way for the similar plan to you and i have made the wall about 10 - 20 layers of stone and continuing to make a path of top of it. Later, once I have finished, I will post it up.

I'm a little confused. Do you mean add some blocks to signify a path? Or to create a raised path off of the wall. Currently you can walk all along the top of the wall via the towers. Each tower (4 of them) has 3 entrances/exits. One at the ground level, the top of the wall, and the top of the tower.
Furthermore the back and front entrances/exits have two ladders on either side of the gate for quick assent/descent.
