The airship features:
Bridge controls
Cruise forward
Rotate in either direction
Ascend / Descend
Fuel consumption, stops when it runs out
Collision detection so the ship is stopped before it hits something
A water ladder to allow easy access to the ground
An area where the users can store goods and blocks that will be preserved through rotation
The world included in the download has several works in it made by other people:
Rebuilt Royal Navy Shipyards - highly modifed from QbicGaming's "Old harbor spawn"
Verace - parts from Rigolo's Imperial City - 33% done
Fogholt - from Coastal Town by Asera
It's still a work in progress, but here are some locations you can explore with the airship:
Verace - Silver Empire city, largest city so far, home of the Crassus Aircraft Works - 4300, 100, 2600
South Haven - Pirate town, home of Bellamy's group - 8100, 100, 5600
Royal Navy Shipyards at Emerald Bay - 2900, 100, 6500
Fogholt - Where Fentan's kid was - 5500, 100, 7600
Renora - Kingdom city that was bombed in episode 13 - 7500, 100, 6900
If there is much interest in this system, I could make a much smaller airship that would have much less lag and be easier to control. Or some other kind of ship. Maybe an armed warship, maybe a submarine or sailing ship. I'm open to suggestions.

P.S: could you whitelist me on your creative server? I am a youtube subscriber and a huge fan of everything you do. My minecraft username is Joebobleebob. Thanks again.
It's funny you should mention that. I'm actually working on an armed merchantman right now for the survival server. It's pretty nasty :)
It's nice to see an attempt at authenticity in airship designs. The "Fantasy style" is ok, but I like to see something that might actually fly from time to time. Mind you, all my designs don't have anywhere near enough volume, but I'm running on the assumption the minecraft world has a much denser atmosphere than ours. At least, thats my excuse :)
In this case, the engines are within the envelope, at the back of the ship. There is a small exhaust port (the redstone block) at the very tail of the ship. I have other designs with proper engine pods, like this one:
