Taking the lessons from what I have lerned while building Castle Aberwyvern I have decided that smaller is better and built a medium size Keep rather than a full sized castle. 

The keep is full furished with an alchemy lab, armory, blacksmith, dungeon with torture chamber, great hall, kitchen, Lord's bedroom and messenger raven roost.
