Hello. Welcome to the Forum Post of the Silentium Studio's Minecraft Faction Server. This server was first thought of my a group of friends over a Skype Call. It then developed into an actual server that was worked on by Infusion2011. We aim to have one of the most played Factions servers with a fair environment, active players, exciting PVP and generally everything a good server should have.

We are not currently looking for Staff Members, but if we believe you to be a good candidate, we will get in touch with you either through the server or some other means of contact. Please refrain from asking on the server as it gets irritating.

Rules

1) Respect all Staff members. Disrespect is Bannable
This means you treat all members of Staff with the same respect that you would like to be treated with. All Staff are here to ensure players have a fun and fair experience and don't appreciate getting badmouthed on the server.

2) No Griefing. Only use TNT to blow into someone's base.
This is kind of self explanatory. I know players will want to excessively TNT someone but this leaves the map looking ugly. Excessive TNT isn't necessary and leaves the player affected wanting to leave. If you only TNT to enter someone's base and then leave with items leaving their base partially in-tact, they will more than likely stay and seek revenge.

3) No ALLCAPS. It makes chat look bad. You will be muted.
Again, self explanatory. There is no need to attack somebody with your caps lock.

4) No Advertising or Spamming. It's bannable.
Another self explanatory rule. Do not under any circumstances advertise any other server. You will be immediately banned. If you spam, you can also be GLOBALLY banned on MCBans.

5) Make sure to protect your base with Iron Doors, Stone Buttons, Levers and Trap Doors.
These blocks cannot be interacted with by anyone of another faction. If you don't want people entering your base, use these as extra layers of security.

6) Each Faction must have at least 2 members.
This ensures that our Faction Board doesn't get overrun with 1 player factions. Any one player factions will be disbanded after 3 days.

7) Do not betray your own faction. It's bannable.
Do not join a faction solely to steal their items then leave. You will be banned. Betraying allies is perfectly acceptable though.

8) Factions may have 1 claim next to another base.
Factions are allowed to claim 1 piece of land next to either an allied or enemy base. This can be used as an outpost.

9) TNT is ENABLED. Use Obsidian to protect land.
Self Explanatory. If you don't want your base to be blown up, use Obsidian to build.

10) PVP is ON. Don't complain if you get killed.

Everybody hates a whiner. If you get killed, then take it like a man. If you were killed by someone running a hacked client, that's a different matter, but still don't whine. Report it to Staff and they will deal with it.

11) Hacked Clients are PROHIBITED. They're bannable.

Anyone caught running a hacked client (Flymod, Xray, Nuker, Autosneak.) will be instantly banned. There's nothing more irritating than getting griefed or killed by someone who has an unfair advantage.

Anyone found breaking these rules will be demoted and the money will NOT be refunded.

terrible laggy server they say its cuz someone is "exploring chunks" and they say they have 15 gigs of ram but they probably have like quarter of a gig

Super, first off, the server is only around an hour old. Chunks haven't been loaded/explored so therefore create lag as they are explored.
Also, i said we have 4gb of ram, not 15. So before you start making stuff up, at least try and make it believable.

When i had my server with 2 gigs of ram it didn't lag at all when it was 5 seconds old and people were exploring chunks and don't lie idiot! You said 15 gb of ram you fat ass dickhead.
