Welcome to the Frontier!


The Frontier is a world with few limitations.


Designed to be a well-balanced mixture of the classic MMO experience with today’s love for high-stakes anarchy gameplay, FrontierSMP promises to let you run free with how you want to play, a genuine sandbox MMO mod-free server.

    To add realism and promote player cooperation, chat has been restricted to local chat only (for the most part). Players can only hear other players in render distance, but they can send carrier pigeons to ferry letters to other players. It only costs a piece of paper, but pigeons take time to fly. Approximately 1 minute for every thousand blocks. Once you have enough iron, you can construct a radio, allowing you to send messages instantly!


    Players are free to do as they like, build where they want, destroy what they want, kill who they want. There is no land claiming or grief protection. The law does not exists in the Frontier and players are going to have to stand up for themselves if they want to survive.


    Death has high stakes out here. If you die, for any reason, you’ll be instantly banned for one hour. You may have the freedom to do whatever you like, but you’ll never be free from the consequences of your actions.


    Design the perfect combat style for yourself, be it standard Minecraft weapons, becoming a mage with our custom magic system, or a mix of both! Magic has combat and resource gathering purposes, from fireball and lightning spells, to nurturing crops and prospecting for ores, magic has you covered!


    Live how you please! As a solo agent, an inspiring leader, a fortuitous trader, or dastardly pillager. No one can tell you how to play, it’s all up to you.





    We hope you join us out on the Frontier! We’re looking forward to more friends and foes, allies and enemies, merchants, mages, warriors, thieves, and scoundrels! Play how you want, nobody can tell you what to do! There’s no law on the Frontier after all...

    Server updated to 1.18 with a new 1.18 world. Creeper king bossfight will be unavailable for the time being until a new dungeon can be created.
