Looking for a serious roleplay environment, one where a massive story waits, and adventure, then this really is the place for you! We're combining certain RPG elements to the RP server to enhance the quality of gameplay and make it as new, and fun as possible to rp. Realm of Alerak is a Roleplay server in development by multiple server developers, and experienced MC roleplayers, most with at least 4 years of MC RP experience.
SETTING
Chose among three races, Human, Dwarf, and Elf. Each race starts in a village not to far off from one another, and have been set back, or experienced some tragedy in the recent years, being pushed out of their capitals, or crashing into the coast side now stranded. These races now face multiple evils that threaten their livlihood, fight back against the antags, take control of ruined forts, uncover lost arts and become actual legend.

CUSTOM MAP
Our custom map is 6k x 8k, though we’ll be launching with approximately 2k x 3k. This Launch region will be home to the tree racial villages, large forests and plains, dungeons, ruins, areas of interest and a host of MythicMobs local and unique to each biome setting.

There will be NO vanilla mob spawning on the map, no random zombies and skeletons. The way wa have the MythicMobs configured is their name displays above their head, they all have custom drops, and serve the purpose of making each region feel more wholesome. The forest in the dwarvish region for example, is home to Boars, mountain goats, bears wolves ducks deer and other creatures, each with unique or custom drops that tie with our Professions plugin.
PROFESSIONS
Our professions plugin is custom and based around a leveling system of 1-100. Users can have a total of 275 levels that they can earn and distribute as they please. A lot of the recipes are different, and a host of new custom items were implemented. An example is a Deer drops Raw Venison, and that venison can be used in the cooking profession to create Venison. We’ve also created a new system of enhancements, where existing items can be enhanced dramatically through means of applying special oils, tars and minerals.
STAFF
The way we’re going to organize our staff is slightly different from the traditional RP server. Half of the staff is Event, Story Server RP based, while the other half is Based around server managment, Out of character issues, forum moderation exc. Each half has a Hierarchy and operates in a way so both halves help to make the server what the players want.

-The open beta is a small 800x800 map with different biomes, and mobs spawning depending on the biome. There's a start village, and the means to gather resources, gather resources, explore the small world, get a feel for how mobs will work on the server.
-Another big part of the beta are Dungeons! Dungeons are a higher level of difficulty where players can venture onward to get a sense of how hard the PvE content is, and also see the level of dungeons we'll be adding to the main world. These dungoens will require more than one member, preferably geared with some kind of equipment.
-Plots. At some point when the other two needs are met, there will be certain plots that players can earn plots they can live in if they've played enough. These plots can be warclaimed over our forums, rules will be on the forums as well. Players with a plot by the end of the beta will earn a $10 donation package which adds to whatever you donate.
VOTING
The top voter of each month before the server starts will receive a $20 donation package for free, if you've won more than once, that donation count will be added to your total, getting you closer to another donation tier reward.

Sorry that I haven't gotten to this in reasonable time, I've been away for Easter vacation.
