Welcome to Riven!
Riven is a hardcore PvP experience that will either leave you angry because you have nothing, or you'll be pretty happy about the loot you got from the kid who you completely smashed over and over again. Think factions without factions. There is no such thing as items being spawned in, even with voting or purchasing ranks. The closest thing you'll get is a dollar amount to your name.
We have a mall for purchasing/selling whatever you desire and a small spawn so you can bounce as fast as possible. Our world border is set at 25,000 blocks, which should be enough space for you to become a hermit with a shotgun in a swamp. We use Grief Prevention with /siege, and in the future will be incorporating Citadel with it.
