The Opal Games is a new server network based on the version 1.15.2.
It currently has 2 games: The Dawn, and Sky Battles. More games will be coming out soon!
We use a unique combat system based on the 1.15 combat system, but in which successive attacks deal more damage, and in which different tools have new special abilities (hoes pull back, shovels do increased knockback, pickaxes damage armor). This is to make it more like the 1.8 combat system which many people enjoy using.
Opal XP is gained by playing games, chatting, and being on the server! When you gain Opal XP, your Opal Level increases. this level is displayed in chat. Also, every 20 levels you get a new rank which is displayed in chat! Can you make it to level 100 before your friends? If you play, sure!
The Dawn is a unique PVE game in which you gain points and fight monsters. You play on a 975 by 975 map, with monsters which spawned near the outside of the map being harder to defeat, but giving out better loot. Damaging monsters makes you gain points faster, and killing them gives you points. Every few points you get a free reward! Also, you can spend coins in the shop.
Sky Battles is a PVP game with an elimination-style ranking. You start with some basic resources on a floating island, and you have to craft tools and armor. Killing other players gives you points, and if you die you will respawn. There is also a point generator at the middle of the map (a structure block), and standing on it for 20 consecutive seconds will award you a point. There are "danger waves" which occur every few minutes: In a danger wave, the players with the least points will be put in "danger". Players in danger have a few minutes to pass another player in points in order to get out of danger. If the time runs out for a player in danger or if they die, they are eliminated. The last survivor wins!
The Opal Games started out as a collection of games made of command blocks. It has been in development for over an entire year, and is now opening its gates for everyone to join and have fun!
Note: we aren't 24/7 yet. Hours of operation are usually from about 8:00 to 22:00 GMT -8 (California time). We hope to be 24/7 in the future!

Sky Battles has received a major revamp again with respawning and danger waves. Also, The Dawn has had some various improvements to the world and the UI.
