What is the story behind Wasteland RP?

The Wasteland in the Scandinavian country of Thessalonia has seen better days; remains of crumbling buildings of an old society, overgrown forests, and abandoned Military Bases litter the landscape; full of untouched weapons and gear that were left behind during the evacuation.

The Year is 2025, and five years ago, the Zombie-like virus known as TS-19 ravaged cities and their populations; infecting people and causing them to adopt cannibalistic symptoms.

You are a Survivor of TS-19. Somehow, you were one of the lucky few who had a natural immunity to the virus. You are now tasked with rebuilding society, involving claiming land, and building settlements from the ground up; all while fighting off other hostile Survivors, Bandits, Infected, and all other challenges that arise with living in the Wasteland.

Blades, Arrows, and Shields have once again become the common weapons. Gone are the days where citizens could own Guns and Rifles; those are left to any remaining Military personnel still alive. The Wasteland has returned to the Dark Ages.




What is the gameplay like in Wasteland RP?

This is a hard question to answer! This is due to the fact that in WRP, we offer many core gameplay features that you may not see in many other places - or at all. This server has a rich gameplay experience that will be a breath of fresh air for any type of player.

Realism. Be aware of your character's status. Here in the Wasteland, survival is a constant struggle. You need to drink frequently, eat a healthy diet, and get sleep; or else you will collapse. Not only that, but your gear's weight is also taken into factor. Gone are the days where you can throw on a set of armor and you're good; now you need to travel lightly if you want to survive long. And if you try to pull all-nighters, you may begin to hear things...

Diseases. Obviously, the old inhabitants of these lands are gone for a reason. Drink stream water without treating it? You'll most likely get Cholera. Fall off a ledge? You'll break your legs and have to make splints. Don't let the common cold be the reason you die in the apocalypse.

Hot Zones are what we like to call the warzone areas - like Military Bases, installations, or points of interest - that are custom made with chests that respawn loot after time. That way, there is a constant battle for gear and the fear of loosing all of your loot. Be warned, the most advanced and powerful weapons are in these areas. Will you risk it all?

Lands are settlements you can create once you become a [Survivor] (which you can earn freely automatically by playing WRP for 10 hours). You can claim areas in chunks, for a cost - protecting your new settlements. Within these settlements, you can designate your own buildings that you can put up for sale or rent, to so you can earn money from your shelters. Or maybe, you just want to build yourself a lonely log cabin in the woods. It's up to you to write your story.

You may witness Airdrops occasionally occur, coming from military cargo planes dropping supplies for any lasting survivors. These contain Medical Supplies, Gold (the new world's currency), Weapons and Gear, and more tools for survival. Be warned though; you may run into hostile survivors near these drops.

Quests are a key gameplay feature in WRP, where you can talk to custom NPC's that offer jobs, missions, and other tasks. Some might reward you with Gold, a unique Weapon, Experience; or even all of the above.

Bounties will become available from time to time; which is a price on another Wastelander's head that you can claim for slaying them. Have something against someone? Place a bounty on them and it will ensure their demise

Custom Zombies, NPC's, and Enemies to fight. Or, to die from. You will run across the low-life Bandit's that scavenge the Wasteland for it's resources, and that prey on any weak Survivors

Radiation Zones are also a rare, but not impossible to encounter you may come across.

RPG styled progression, Classes, Subclasses, and abilities. Want to learn to become the ultimate Zombie slayer? Or maybe you want to deal more damage to Bandits. It's up to you.

What else does this server offer?

Multi-Version Support. Sick of waiting for development updates for servers to update to the latest version of Minecraft? Us too! Our software enables both older client versions and newer versions to join, so you can have peace of mind that you will always be able to hop on and play with us.


Custom User Interfaces and Scripts. We intend for our gameplay to be as user friendly as possible, so that you don't have to remember 50 different commands just to be able play.


A community Discord server. Not only will it be an easier way to learn about changes and updates to the server, but you can chat in the game through another device! Also, this allows players to join voice chats to meet new people, and create an easier way to communicate.


DynMap support. With our map fully rendered, you can view the map from a link, which you can see where you are in real-time, as well as being able to help you find landmarks, or maybe just a place to settle down.


Anti-Pay to Win. The server owner of WRP, as well as the rest of it's staff team, despises Pay to Win styled games and elements. And, we're sure you do too. Any aspects that we make available to purchase from our store we will ensure is not going to give anyone a competitive edge. Our server is not designed to make money, rather to offer a new, enjoyable game experience. However, any contributions will be highly appreciated.


A friendly, active staff team. Whenever they aren't busy, they will be online to help or answer questions!



Anything else not listed here may be added to the server in the future. We are open to feedback and any additions wanted to the server. Keep in mind, this is a new server; any holes found should be reported, and expect changes to be made. We desire a fun and diverse gameplay experience!

- Hello! This is a Pre-Release log of what is to come for the server.
- Currently, we are continuing our efforts with ensuring our content is ready for players on release, and that the server is in top-notch condition.
- Building more unique areas around the map, as well as loot caches.
- Not much else we can reveal at the moment, we are constantly working every day to prepare the server and continuing to add more content.
