Garth, currently known as Tempest, was the ward of Aquaman (Arthur Curry) and served as his protege, Aqualad. He joined the original Teen Titans alongside Robin (Dick Grayson), Kid Flash (Wally West), Wonder Girl (Donna Troy) and Speedy (Roy Harper), a founder member of the team. Tempest has a breadth of magical abilities. However, because the atlantean made a personal vow to abstain from using his magical skills, their full scope remains to be seen.
