This is á¹alÄ á¸¥ al-DÄ«n YÅ«suf ibn AyyÅ«b, or Saladin in English. He was the first sultan of Eqypt and Syria and the founder of the Ayyubid dynasty. Saladin was a leader of the army that fought against the 3rd Crusade in 1189-1192, trying to defend Jerusalem because it is believed that, in both Christianity and Muslim, the city is sacred. Saladin was a brave sultan and bravely defended the city from the Christians successfully. He was a nice person, according to my history lessons, and even gave food to enemy troops!

How á¹alÄ á¸¥ al-DÄ«n YÅ«suf ibn AyyÅ«b (Saladin) became who he is:

After the king Shirkuh died, the throne was given to Saladin, his nephew and successor. Another sultan died, leaving his 11-year old son As-Salid as the sultan. But it was decided that Saladin should be ruler of both Syria and Egypt. Eventually Saladin managed to retrieve Jerusalem because the Franks were demolished in the battlefield. But, of course, he was nice to King Guy and King Raynald, so he gave Guy a goblet of water. Then after Raynald drank out of the goblet, Saladin executed him because of betrayal and became friends with Guy. By the end of the year Saladin managed to capture Acre and Jerusalem. It is said Pope Urban III collapsed of shock that Saladin captured Jerusalem, although this is highly not true.

Funny enough, this is the only skin I've seen that is NOT in medieval Europe. I chose medieval Middle East Asia because I thought it would be unique. I think it is. How 'bout you?
