The screams of children and women rang throughout the town of Geirsa, with flames engulfing the once great and respected city. The structures that used to soar high above the heavens are now heaps of ashes and graveyards for those who called it their homes. Remains of their corpses are scattered within the dust, some blown away by the wind to be long forgotten. The very few who survived were forced to flee and take refuge into the world below; Earth.

Ansgar was one of those lucky Geirsans who escaped, along with his mother. His father was murdered before his very eyes by the Säde, terrible winged creatures similar to the phoenix, but worse. They were enormous blood-hungry avians who would demolish anything in their paths and anything that tried to stop them. Ansgar's father was one of the many soldiers sworn to protect Geirsa at all costs who unfortunately, was eaten.

this is the part where i become lazy.

Ansgar decided to train secretely against his mother's orders in attempt to defeat the Säde once and for all. When he was old enough, he decided to go back up to Geirsa, where the winged beasts had awaited him. He drew his father's sword and killed them all. (miraculously) As a symbol of pride and freedom, he now wears the hide of the Säde that had killed his father. Ansgar is known as the greatest hero of Geirsa that had ever lived.
